History

Origins

Gamers Core was known as the Ancient Jedi Order (AJO) and we were a small gaming clan that played primarily within the Star Wars universe in a game called Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (JKA). We focused on a unique style of gameplay centered around maturity, teamplay, and roleplay aspects. We also tried our best to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all of our members as well as visitors. In addition, we allowed anyone to join our clan as long as our rules were met. In a sense, we became less of a "clan" and more of just a group of tight-knit gamers who were organized into a community.

A New Beginning

As the JKA community grew smaller, we felt we needed to move onto "greener" pastures. As such, several members liked the idea of being a community (adopted from other such communities) and our small clan was transformed into a larger gaming community with the intention of providing variety as well as a welcoming friendly atmosphere. We refounded the clan as a gaming community in late July 2007. After a long series of votes, the members decided to call the refounded community: Gamers Core (GRSC).

First Chapter in a New Era

Today, like in the past, we concentrate heavily on first-person gameplay and in science fiction themed universes. Our community is now active in World of Warcraft, MovieBattles 2, and Counter-Strike Source. We have plans on expanding into other popular first-person titles in the future.
