STO – Two Year Anniversary
Now is the time to log on and beat that layer of dust of your old characters, not oly is it now F2P but with the next day(s) STO is celebrating its 2nd year of excistance. As a show of appreciation toward all of thos who play the game they are giving away a limited edition starship for the vice admiral rank. Go to Earth Spacedock or Qu’nos and speak with Q (located in the club/social area for federation characters) and get the quest to test drive your new Odyssey or Bortas Class ship for your chosen side. Its a one-time offer, so get it while you can!

CommentBattlefield 3: Pre-loading Starts October 21st (Origin Pre-Orders Only)
That’s right, those of you who pre-ordered BF3 via Origin will get to pre-load the game starting the 21st. There’s no mention if this date applies to everyone everywhere or if it is restricted to U.S. only. This should relieve some of the server congestion come release day.
I’m totally excited. Are you?

According to Gamers Underground (and EA Australia), Early Access to Battlefield 3 Beta starts at 10 pm Australian Eastern Standard Time). Here’s how it translates for the rest of the world:

- Aus 10:00 pm 27th
- Sweden 2:00pm 27th
- GMT 12:00 noon 27th
- US Eastern Standard Time 8:00 am 27th

- Aus 10:00 pm 29th

Early access e-mails for eligible customers are said to be sent out within the next 18 hours or so. Console access shouldn’t be far behind PC, but exact times will be controlled by XBL & PSN as they manage the deployment.
For everyone else with a pre-order, that same hour on 29th is the day and moment you should be looking forward to. See you on the battlefield!
Looks good to me. I’ll hopefully be up before then to shower and get ready for some gaming action. I’m also hoping to get my beta key in my email by then. If not…well I’ll be rather pissed. Are you guys ready? Locked and loaded (with drinks and food and rest)?

If you pre-order Battlefield 3 (PC digital download version) on Origin before September 25th, or if you have registered your first-hand copy (by activating its Online Pass) of Medal of Honor: Limited Edition/Tier 1 Edition, you will get 48 hours early access to the Beta, meaning you can start playing Tuesday, September 27th. The full details on how you will be granted early access is available on our new Beta section.
For Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, the Open Beta will be visible on the consoles’ digital marketplaces under Battlefield 3. For PC, you need to install Origin and download the Open Beta from within the Origin application.
