MW2 Weekends: Fridays and Saturdays

For those of you who haven't been paying attention lately (like the past few months), we have been actively playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 almost every Friday and Saturday. So if you have the game, come on out and join BlackOpsDawg, Dylan, Dakim, and I. You can usually find us lively talking on our TS3 server. If you have a microphone, come on and talk to us while we play (or come on to listen even if you don't have a mic).

New Member and JKA Event

We welcome our newest member, BlackOpsDawg, to the clan! We also had a nice turnout for our JKA event last weekend (4 members showed up) and we had many great duels and even some melee fun. We are hoping to have another JKA get together next weekend. If you wish to join in on the fun, meet us on Teamspeak!

We welcome our newest member, Dylan (or better known by his handle dylan502), to the clan. Welcome Dylan! Dylan plays regularly with Dakim and myself in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. We can be often found gaming on Fridays and weekends. Dylan has also been accepted into the Rangers unit.

Borderlands Co-Op Didn't Happen

Our Borderlands co-op event was scheduled for today and although we had two others show up, Dragco and Ididdie, the event essentially failed due to technical difficulties. None us were able to host even after port forwarding, using GameRanger, and tweaking settings left-and-right. After about an hour, we gave up. So for now, I don't think we'll be planning any more Borderlands events until one of us manages to get hosting working.

Website Refresh Almost Done, Part II

I left out our newest member, Talon, who joined the clan as part of our player faction group, Gryphon Core Service, in Freelancer: Discovery Mod. Also, the forum links in the Games We Play page are now working. I still have to write up a new Events page or maybe link to the forums. Either way that'll be for tomorrow (or rather later in the morning today).

Website Refresh Almost Done

The refresh of our clan website is almost done. Some links are not working at this time. The Roster page is a mess and will stay that way for a day or so until I can reorganize the page's layout.

Update: Roster page is now organized, updated, and working. Links in the Games We Play page still need to be linked to the proper areas.

Updates...Updates...Updates...

Some may think we've slowly died off judging by the lack of updates on our main page, but that is far from the truth. I have been quite lazy since launching the new version of the website and with the flurry of activity going on in the clan that I never posted anything new to the news page. From now on out, updates will be at least regular. By that I mean, if there is something to post, it will be posted. Otherwise, there might be a brief condensed mention later on in a single post.

With our activity low once again, Dakim and I are trying our best to revive activity within the clan with gaming events and such. For those who have been away for a really long time, the short version of the story is that many of our members have gotten more busy with their real lives. That translates to several moving off to attend university full-time and the rest getting better jobs and thus conflicting schedules and limited free time lead to our major decline in activity over the past few months. Some of us have been trying our best, however, and there is planning ahead for more activities.

As you may have noticed, the homepage has gone through another refresh. I hope this will be the final refresh of the homepage for a while. You'll notice events and our most active games are posted as event banners above. Off to the right side is little side contests and such, including a mention of a "member of the month" who is chosen by vote. Lastly, here is where clan news will go. Perhaps we will include general industry gaming news as well, but that will largely depend on member interest.
